The team behind this proposition is a collection of long-time, lifetime, and recent Sitkans who have seen firsthand the impacts of the mass cruise tourism uptick in the last five years. We are fishermen and women, hunters, workers, and business owners that care about a long term vision for the place we love. Our love for Sitka has not changed, but sadly, the ways we can interact with this place have. This is true for us and our friends, especially our elders. We created Prop One to be a long term, future oriented approach to maintaining healthy cruise tourism numbers on and around this beloved land.
